    1. Lovely – I’m a hoarder, oh I mean collector, of frames. What was the print on? Seems like I find a lot of the prints which is almost like hardboard but it seems to be more paper. I usually take those out and replace with painted hardboard. One of these days I’m going to try the paper type and see what happens.

    2. Do you need some sort of primer? I have a large canvas-like picture (frameless) that I want to turn into a chalkboard, and not sure if I need to prime it first. It has sort-of a slick surface….thanks for any advice!!

    4. My mouth is wide open. I didn’t know you could use chalk paint over a painting. Wow! I have had a quart of chalk paint for almost a year and haven’t even cracked it open yet. I have seen all of these inspirations in blogland, and it is time to get my rear in gear. The first thing to get painted will be the cabinet doors in my new craft room.

    5. I did the same with one in my diningroom only it’s oval and I found out that the pictures takes the chalkboard paint really well, tried it on a mirror and wasn’t as good as the picture board! I really like how yours turned out!
