Last year when I went to Haven 2012, it was the most amazing conference that I had ever been to.

I didn’t think it could get any better. Well, it  did.  Haven 2013 did not disappoint!

I will be back!

Haven Team

Me surrounded by awesomeness Thrifty Decor Chic, Beneath My Heart, Just A Girl and Home Stories A to Z.

room with a view

This is just part of the view from room our on the 22nd floor, from our balcony.  Downtown Atlanta on the horizon, I think I see Ikea from here!

Southern Revivals

Southern Revivals (Jamie) and I grinning and happy to be here!

We had so much fun seeing all our blogger friends.  We are family, they get me, it’s amazing how much we all have in common. Like hoarding fabric, storage garages full of furniture,  being in your pj’s all day.  Bloggers are a breed of their own,  being around so many people just like me, is so much fun!

Ana White

Ana White  shared her blogging story, she’s pretty and smart!

She inspired our first build, with her free furniture plans and she’s the reason that I own a Kreg jig!

Rebecca from You Are Talking Too Much, Gina from The Shabby Creek Cottage, Jader Bomb from JADER BOMB, Marian aka Miss Mustard Seed, and Mandi from Vintage Revivals

It’s easy to get star struck meeting all these awesome ladies.  Next year I’m going to make a list, I know I missed some of my friends!

Ryobi

I got to play with new power tools, Thanks Ryobi 🙂

I learned several wood working tricks and tips!

Shanty 2 Chic

The girls from Shanty2Chic showed us how to construct a spice rack.  The best thing about this class was the little blooper, of the dowels not lining up, because the sides had not been assembled correctly.  I know they totally planned that, just to make us feel better. They quickly disassembled and corrected the problem.

Don’t be afraid to try new things in fear of failure.

The DIY at Haven was not limited to woodwork!  Traci from Beneath My Heart created the DIY Shuffle.  I hope I can find a video to share, it’s out of this world!

Jamie from Southern Revivals

It was great traveling with Jamie!

We shopped on the way to Atlanta, but once we were sure that we knew where the hotel was located…we made a quick trip to the Pottery Barn Outlet and the Restoration Hardware Outlet.  We found some awesome deals and I will be sharing those in future posts!

The food was awesome and check out that cookie, it was in our Swag Bag and it came in handy 😉

There’s so much more and I could go on forever.  I’ll be sharing my swag bag over the next few weeks.  Product, tools, so much stuff to be thankful for!

I left Haven inspired, empowered and so thankful!

See you next year!
