My Bench

I have this bench that I love, but it was a little drab:

So I used Annie Sloan Duck Egg Blue and did a little dry brushing to brighten it up:

I was going to paint it solid and sand. As I started painting, I realized that it wasn’t necessary. The dry brush over the gray was the look that I wanted.

I love my bench now!

Can I just say, I am loving the changes that are happening in my kitchen! Chalk Paint to the rescue again!

    1. I have this same bench! I had it in my walk in closet at my condo, but now I’ve moved to a new home and you have given me some great ideas for it! I love what you’ve done!

      • Thanks Michelle! You know what, it used to be on the other side! But if you could see the view, you’d know why I moved it! (I’ll email you a pic from my phone) Thanks for the Fab Friday link up!

    4. I’m a brand new follower from Debbie’s link party. This might just be one of my all time favorite benches. The design is awesome and the way you redid it is perfect. Quick, get me a tissue…..I keep drooling. I LOVE IT.

    6. What a cool bench. I love the new color! I am recovering my breakfast room chairs right now, and the fabric I’m using is the green version of the fabric on your cushion:)
