I’m in love with these fun Heat Transfer Vinyl Flip Flops. I was able to create them in just a matter of minutes. So Fun and So Easy…and cheap!!! These shoes are a little surprise that only you know about until you remove your shoes.
For this project I used my Cricut Explore Air 2 but you do not need to own this machine. Use can use any vinyl cutting machine you are comfortable with. However, I do LOVE my Cricut Explore Air 2. For my flip flops I went with a cute, cheap pair in sea foam green from Wal-mart, I think I paid $.98 for them. Can’t beat that price!!! Then I decided on a simple Flamingo design to cut using my Cricut Explore Air 2 in hot pink Heat Transfer Vinyl. Once you have decided on your design and cut it you will have to use your weeding tool and remove all portions you do not want on your shoe. Weed the excess vinyl from your image, place on your shoe. Apply a clean towel/cloth diaper over the image, this will protect your flip flop from the heat. No one wants melted shoes…Right? After you have placed your image and towel over the shoe use your flat iron to clamp down on the image. I held mine in place for approximately 20-25 seconds all over the entire image. Remove the towel and test to see if your image transferred. if it didn’t, repeat the process of heating the Heat Transfer Vinyl. Once you image has transferred to your shoe remove the clear transfer and you are all set…a little surprise for your feet!
Use flat iron to apply heat transfer vinyl to your flip flop.
From plain to fun in a few seconds! These would be the cutest gifts to include in a summer tote! Or perfect for pool parties – great for your guests!
This was a fun, easy and inexpensive project. Who wouldn’t love a hot pink flamingo surprise for their feet? A little happy for your shoes…from blah to Flamingo!!!
