Cloud Clay, it’s not jus for kids! This is such an easy and beautiful idea for handmade Christmas ornaments!

Some of the items that I used were:

ย Easy to work with and so many possibilities!

This stuff is so fluffy, light and white. ย (It does come in other colors.)

Choose your cookie cutter. Get the kids involved, it’s for ages 3+.

(How about Gingerbread people?)

I decided on snow flakes!

Use it just like you’re cutting cookies. It sticks to itself and not to your hands.

I used my stylusย (affiliate link to Amazon) to create a hole at the top. Now I can hang it on the tree or use it for a gift tag.

You could use a toothpick or skewer.

ย Dry-overnight-because it dries in 24 hours.

I want to add some sparkle. So I coated the dry ย snowflakes with Amaco All-Purpose Sealer and sprinkled with diamond glitter.

You can get it here: Cloud Clay in Whiteย (amazon affiliate link).

I decided to stick with one theme for my clay, with cookie cutters and glitter, the possibilities are endless. Have fun with it.

    1. I would love to try this. I have 6 grandkids. Two of them spend the night often. They would have so much fun at making ornaments or gifts for the family. It would be lots of fun. Thanks so much, Emilia

    2. Very cool idea for a classroom project. Using a 4pz package of Cloud Clad, how many snowflakes were you able to make? I’m trying to gage how much to purchase. Could you advise please?

    3. I linked from today’s “At the Picket Fence” and found the snowflakes. I love them. I got ornaments after Christmas for a steal last year but I’m so cheap by the time I got there most were gone, See I want all white ornaments. Or crystally–got a diy crystal bead instruction I’ve got to dig out and get going on too. Thanks!

    4. What a great idea! I have some snowflakes I bought years ago at a craft fair on Maui. They’re made out of some type of resin, but I’ve always adored them and wanted to get more. This will be a great way for me to do that. Is this clay available at Michaels and Hobby Lobby? Never heard of it. What is the cost for a bag and approximately how many ornaments were you able to make?

    6. Amazing! Probably the only snow we’ll see in GA. Have we already talked about GA? Just noticed you live in Statesboro. Love that town! I got married there. I live in Augusta now but used to live in Savannah. Miss it. Just getting caught up on your blog today. It’s lovely! Sorry it took me so long to get over here. I’ve been on a long break. Really enjoyed visiting you today!

    9. Looks simple enough for even me to try. They turned out really beautiful. What else do you use with it? My theme this year is a Cross Tree. Would love to try it out on a few white crosses as well. Thanks.

    10. Thanks for introducing me to this product. Last year I made gingerbread cookies and hung them on a tree that was on the screened porch. They only lasted about 3 days. I can see the many possibilities of this product, and I just bought a new cookie cutter, too!
