I want to get to know you and I want you to get to know me.

I have a girl dog and her name is Murphy. Which is confusing, to some people.

It’s kinda like a boy name.

She’s a labradoodle, that nobody wanted.  She hasn’t always looked this gorgeous.

These are my grandsons, and my son Justin helped them create a gingerbread train.

I love to take pictures.

I like fresh flowers.

I loved finding these little vase~napkin rings in the wedding section at Hobby Lobby.

Even though I’ve been married for over 25 years, I’m just using them on my regular table, no wedding here.

Faces like this make me smile, even laugh out loud sometimes!  And then he starts laughing too.

One of my goals this year is to create A-Z, like this and use it for something special.

I like this one, cause it’s two J’s and that could be for Jenni, Justin, Jason or Jessica!

I like to sew, but I’m not great at it.  When it involves a grain sack…that’s ok with me.

This may or may not be a true statement.

Be on the look out for pictures of my daughter, son in law, husband and anyone else that will stand still.

I hope you’re ok with this, it’s not reStyling but it is reFreshing.

And I guess if it prompts someone to un-follow me, I’ll be hurt.

But I will probable, post something like this again.

Because I want to.

Please leave me a comment and tell me something about yourself.

Be random, like me.  Say the first thing that comes to your mind.

    2. I love the name Murphy for a girl. I have a 16yr. old girl cat that we named Berlioz because we thought she was a boy when she was born. One only has to look at her sweet face and know that she is a girl with a male name. Happy New Year! Hope you’re having a grand evening! Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse

    3. Murphy is so cute! We’re getting our Labradoodle Lacey’s, hair cut tomorrow and sort of nervous about what they will do to her. I know they (whoever they are) always say to keep to a niche when blogging, but I prefer blogs that are more varied. I think it can get boring for the daily readers who are in it for the long haul if it’s just one topic all the time. Or maybe that’s just what I tell myself because I don’t stick to just one thing :).

    4. I love your posts! Oh, how you are so much like me, just so much better at it. I’ve just started blogging and LOVE it, just wish I could give up the day job and persue it full time. Your family and home are beautiful!

I also have a girl dog with a boy name… Buck! She’s Buck-a-roo most the time to me, but my husband insisted on Buck, so Buck she is 🙂

    5. Love your post:) I have just tapped into the wonderful world of home decor/diy blogs in the last few months & I am in heaven! As a single momma of 3 I don’t have much time or cash for home projects , let alone the time to talk about them. I love the tips & courage I get from you bloggers, which I keep up with at night at work (I am a nurse at a state school). HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

    6. I came over because Desiree posted your link on FB. I’ll be back to visit again for sure. I love it when bloggers share some personal things. If you keep it all bloggy business, we may as well be looking at BHG.com or something like that. I like to visit other blogs, because the projects seem doable and I am fairly sure there is no stylist or team of photographers to make everything look “perfect”.

Blessings to you and yours this New Year!

    7. I like Murphy’s name. I though of the show Murphy Brown right away. Well, I just lost my Spunky baby two months ago and I’m still grieving. Lots of people thought she was a boy. I love dishes and tablescaping. I want to be organized this year.

    11. I have a female kitty named Tigger & most everyone thinks she is a boy…I don’t have a blog but would love to. I love it when bloggers share things like you did today…makes me feel more connected to them & like I have a new friend. If someone stops following you because you share who you are & what you love then shame on them! I had become a follower of your blog & didn’t realize I was also following you on Pinterest! Oh, and I made your toffee & everyone I mean EVERYONE love it! I

    12. It’s your blog. You can do anything you want. Personally, I would love getting to know you better. I think sometimes when you talk about your real life it makes your readers feel good. Like you trust them with your thoughts. Sort of like confiding in someone. It’s an important thing. Looking forward to whatever you have to share in 2012.

This is my first visit to your blog but I will be returning! Who could resist a future “GQ” face like the one that makes you smile?
Something about me? I prefer books to computers.
Wishing you and yours a happy, healthy 2012!

    16. I love these kind of posts and I am like you and getting more into the photography part. Your dog is precious and a lot of people want to call my dog Bailey a boy, too even though she sports a pink collar.

Happy new year and I look forward to your 2012 posts.

    18. Love Murphy! My dog, Indy has a boy’s name, even though she is a girl. She’s a gorgeous two year old german shepherd.

I think that if people unfollow you because you reveal a little of yourself, that’s more revealing about the type of person they are. Don’t let it get you down!

      Happy New Year!

    19. I love reading blogs and being inspired by them! I have 2 kids away at college and grad school. I married my high school sweetheart over 29 years ago, dated 6 years first! We have a 15 1/2 year old long haired dachshund named Boogie…my baby. I love to play tennis any chance I get. Love spending time with my girlfriends whether it’s Bunco night or a get-away….the laughs rejuvenate me!! Best of luck in 2012!

    20. I only like apples pealed and sliced. My cats name is Scampers but we call him Bubba. I’m listening to Ella Fitzgerald. I love to read and I will finish a book in a day, even if it means staying up until 2 or 3 am. I hope 2012 is a magical year. I would like some magic =)
