DIY Banner

Easy, peasy, no sewing required.

It’s my first, so I know you can make one!

On this day, the sale items at Goodwill were the yellow tags.

Love getting all this fabric for half price!

I found just what I was looking for ๐Ÿ™‚

Directions

I made a paper template and used my pinking shears to cut out triangles. (no picture of this)

I created a 1 1/2 inch space at the top, so I could fold it over the string and use my hot glue gun.

I had 4 different colors, so I cut 4 triangles of each color.

I spaced them every 5 inches, you could put them next to each other too.

They just blow in the wind ๐Ÿ™‚

They are perfect for this outside setting.

And don’t you just love the colors?

I think I’m in love with banners.

    1. I love your banner, and I think I am in love with them too. Recycling clothes we have or from the thrift store (especially half price!) is such an awesome way to buy fabric. Fabric has become crazy-expensive! I will need to dig thru my “fabric” now and get going ๐Ÿ™‚

    2. So pretty, Debbie! I may never look at clothes the same way! I am not a “fabric” girl because I don’t sew, but I never really thought of using old clothes to turn into fabulous no-sew creations! Thanks for sharing! I hope you have a great time at Haven, I look forward to hearing all about it!

    3. Turned out nice Ms. RR. I have make banner on my list too. I have part of the supplies but it won’t really be summery and inspiration has not completely hit me yet. Maybe we need a banner link party?

    4. Debbie can I make a banner telling you how much I love your banner?

And I’ve just had a head clunking moment … I’m sitting here like I was just hit on the head with an anvil … but fabric from Goodwill finds? Right? Genius! And why have I never thought of that …?

I’m so excited that I think I need to race out to the Salvation Army right now …

    6. You have made a Student Council advisor VERY happy! We can use fabric to quickly (and cheaply) decorate our school halls for orientation! I’m thinking if I found sturdy fabric (denim?), we could use paint markers to write messages on them. =)
