DIY PEDESTAL FRAME IDEAS

The candle sticks, black frames and cute little clothes pins came from the Dollar Tree. With a couple of dollars, spray paint, few things from my craft stash, I came up with these DIY Pedestal frame ideas. I walked in there like I was made of money. I grabbed everything that I wanted and didn’t worry a bit about the price. Ha, don’t you just love dollar store shopping!

I chose the flat black frames so I didn’t have to paint them to match my painted glass candle stick. One less step for this easy project.

How to DIY Pedestal frame with Rustoleum ultra flat black

Here’s the paint I used, the Rust-oleum Ultra has great coverage. I love quick and easy projects, spray paint is best for simple projects like this. I placed them in a cardboard box to paint them, being careful not to spray paint anything near them. I love flat black, it looks very trend but you could use any color.

For the backing in one of the frames, I added a page from an old hymnal (purchased from a church rummage sale) instead of photo. You can add paper or cloth to personalize these easy pedestals. I finally have a place to showcase this pretty feather that I found a couple of months ago. How cute are those mini clothes pins???

Frame DIY

I am a huge fan of buffalo plaid and it shows! From the bow to the paper, you can see that I use this pattern any time I can. I caught the Solawood flowers on sale a while back and bought a couple of boxes of them and have hot glued them to lots of my crafts 😉

Pedestal Chalkboard DIY - mini chalkboard

These chalkboards came with the wood holder and they fit perfectly on top of the candlestick. I used Chalk Couture on the chalkboard and the word Blessed on one of the other photo frames. You can find the chalkboards here: 3 – Chalkboards $6.99 (affiliate link).
