Farmhouse Cottage Kitchen – Summer

We recently finished ย a 2 car garage remodel – from a laundry garage to a farmhouse cottage. I’ve been chomping at the bit to share it, today I’m sharing the kitchen.ย

Summer Farmhouse Kitchen

I cannot tell you how happy I am to have this space finished. From a dark and dingy space to farmhouse fresh:

Ideas for a small farmhouse cottage kitchen

The whole cottage is painted with Sherwin Williams – Alabaster. With everything being neutral, the accent colors will be easy to change out. For summer (maybe forever) I went with shades of blue and pops of color from the fresh peonies, hydrangeas and the yellow lemons.

The old window chalkboard is perfect for the shiplap wall. Most of the things I used in the kitchen, I already owned. Oh my goodness, what does that say about me…accessory hoarder??

Thanks to Aspect Tiles for sending me these stick on glass tiles to try out. I loved them! The cuts were a little tricky, but I got it done!

I’ve committed to color with the morning mist colored tile behind the stove. I love the fresh look it provides in this small space.

Coffee is always better with a sweet treat

For summer, I love decorating with fun fresh colors and collectables. Blues and greens are my favorite. Add a few touches from the beach like these starfish. It looks summery without being too themed. Keep summer light, less is more.

    1. Shoot, forgot to ask where you got those gorgeous glasses, love style of them along with color? We need some new glasses and would love to have those. Great treasure finding that utensil ware in little holder. You really scored some wonderful decorations for new kitchen. Gives kitchen lots of personality.

    2. Love your light bright looking kitchen. That white color you used is so clean looking. Usually I love color but am coming around to all white walls. Wish we could get new white cabinets but will just have to paint ours. Am blue/green color lover also, they look so cool and clean. Sounds like am hung up on clean, guess so.
Those light blue stick on tiles have my interest, will need to look into those for a back splash behind stove and all back splash area. Love that light blue color. Great post.

      Enjoy rest of week
