Another room in the farmhouse is complete, that is if any room is ever complete! I fell in love with the 8″ pine floor boards in the Alabama Farmhouse when we first looked at it and as you know pine can give a room a very yellow appearance. It didn’t help that all the interior walls were painted yellow. The yellow walls were the first to go in the guest bath to prepare for this makeover. One question for you, what color should I paint the cabinets?? Wall color= White Dove color matched at Sherwin Williams.

Mini Makeover for the guest bathroom when you're on a budget

The room has no natural light. To brighten up the space, I went with clear glass storage and brushed nickel accessories and mostly white bath items, perfect for a spa-like experience.

Keep it simple in the guest room

Farmhouse guest bath refresh keep it simple and minimal

I love to keep the decor simple and give my guest what they need, like fluffy white towels, extra toilet paper and a place to hang their toothbrush.

The thing about moving, it gives you the opportunity to use what you already have in a different space, it makes it feel new all over again. This little bench and olive bucket (from Walmart a of couple years ago) have been everywhere in the house.

Love using white towels and simple clean storage for a clutter free bathroom

These apothecary containers are great for extra soap and my homemade bath salts. Sometime I leave the lid off so the aroma fills the room.

Have a place for the guest to put their toothbrush but keep it simple and easy to clean

I love this open toothbrush holder, it makes it very easy to clean.

Simple ideas for a clean and fresh guest bath at Refresh Restyle The bathroom is made up of three rooms. The vanity and bath area are separated by the water closet. Looking from vanity area in to the tub area, you can see I’ve kept the decor light and bright. I love anything with stripes and this shower curtain is perfect!

Before dark guest bath

I situated my bench near the tub and loaded it down with lots of towels. There’s plenty of room there to place whatever you need for bath time. White towels are my favorite! But these Better Homes and Gardens Thick and Plush ones come in many beautiful colors!

    1. It looks great! The tin bucket for toilet paper is a great touch! As for the floors, I would keep them a light color, but that’s just me.

    2. I love spa-like bathrooms and how fresh and clean they feel. You did a beautiful job layering whites, creams and some tan. You have added some warm wood pieces (even that darling basket on the back of the door!). I would do the vanity a warm creamy color, maybe in a linen look with fine stripes to add another texture. The hardware is great…..you could freshen it up with tons of choices. You’ve mixed your metals so nicely. Love reading your posts

    3. Looks so pretty! The wood on the cupboards is lovely… very farmhouse. but, it does keep it pretty dark in there. I would probably go a light greige, to tie-in the walls and the floors. That’s just my first thought. The hardware on them is SO pretty!

    4. Love what you have done so far!! For the cabinets, maybe something similar to the stripe in the shower curtain. Did you paint the sconces, or were they already that color. Love the detail on them. Can’t wait to see the finished space. Thank you for sharing.

    5. I know just how you feel about bathrooms with no windows, but even still, this looks fantastic. Love the shower curtain, and the two different benches. It’s super spa feeling with all the white, fluffy towels.
