It’s done. ย The guest room is now available. ย Come on down!collectedguest room

I had this idea that I blogged about here.

I was totally prepared, to build a headboard and then I spotted one on FB. ย I bought it site unseen. ย It was rough and a little dirty.

BR10

I bought it, cleaned it, painted it (dry brushed) and I sealed it.

BR9

I gathered all my art. The pieces collected over time.

The ones that caught my eye at tag sales.

BR8

Don’t you just love this little guy ๐Ÿ™‚

BR7

Every room needs one or two, globes.

BR6

One of my favorite photos of my grandsons (above).

Dry-brushed chair here.

Ikea Rug

The rug, from Ikea.

BR5

This is the second set of suitcases that I collected for this room.

I sold the other ones, they didn’t make the cut.

Driftwood drybrush

It was love at first site when I spotted this steamboat!

I think it was more about the color, than the boat.

BR3

I was running out of art, when I remembered this chalkboard.

BR2

Collected treasures all in one room.

Mr. Refresh walked in and said – this is what I’m talking about!

I want every room to look like this!

(I wasn’t sure if he was talking about the way it was decorated or that he could see the floor.)

GR1

Murphy on the bed.

Murphy likes it too!

    3. Debbie, I love this room! Any guest would feel right at home staying here. It feel so warm and welcoming and like you said…collected.

I love the art, globes, suitcases….they all work so well together to create a very cozy space. And I can tell how much love went into creating this room…that’s the most important part..that anyone who stays here will feel like they are getting a big hug from you.

    4. Debbie,
The room looks outstanding…luv that neat looking headboard. Is that cute canvas of your grandsons, the one that you won at my blog? By the way…are you going to the Country Living Show or The Chapel Market? I am going to both and would love to meet up with you, if you are there.

      Blessings,
      Linda

    5. You just inspired me to get going on our guest room Debbie. So many cute ideas. I am a suitcase lover too. I have one of my Mom’s old make up ones from the 30’s, and I am working on that now. Unfortunately, in college I wrote my dorm # on it with my name in marker-lol. Apparently I thought it was a good idea @ the time -eek!!
