In The Kitchen

A while back I talked about cooling my kitchen, you can see that here, but here’s where I am so far.  I never finish.

The oven really hasn’t been used much since February, when Mr. reFresh and I went on a diet.

The kitchen is where I do most of my projects, thank goodness for granite.

It has a large eat in area. Please ignore that other Federal convex mirror, it’s headed to the lake. I must say I got a little obsessed with them after I got the first one. I bought a total of three. I know I’m sick.

I never know what to put up there, so I’m sure these are short lived.

A view from the living room.

My view from the sink. The burlaps curtains here.

The painted island, it was red.

I love taking pictures…duh

My son always wants to know if it’s real, when he sees food on the counter. It’s not…

I love my kitchen and the changes that I’ve made. Some ideas were posted here.

    1. I am a big fan of how “green” your kitchen is. I have never experimented with this color I wish i was brave enough you really made it your own.

    2. I came over from Kristen’s to see your BEAUTIFUL kitchen! I ADORE the bench you ahve at your table. My table looks very similiar to yours, it is just crowded in the space cause my eating area is NOT as big as yours. Love all you have done. XO, Pinky

    3. Love your kitchen. What a wonderful place to gather with friends and family. I love those bar stools. It is so hard to find ones that are pretty and comfortable.

    5. You are lucky to have such a big, open kitchen…and the granite is wonderful. Great job painting your island. My favorite thing is the bench at your table. Just perfect!

    6. I think that your kitchen is well on its way to becoming a comfortable and beautiful room. Love the color on the walls- I checked out the before and this color is so much more soothing! The look is fresh and clean, too. And I love the island color!!! Does the bench at the table match it? Am visiting from Kristin’s party.

      • Thanks Sue, yes the bench and the island are both Annie Sloan Duck Egg Blue. I am working on finishing everything, I am a DIY so it takes me longer than it should!

    7. Your kitchen is just as gorgeous as the rest of your house Debbie! And I cracked up about the mirror sickness…do we need to stage a Federal Mirror Intervention? LOL! Your island transformation really was amazing and I love the open side with all of the goodies tucked in. Just beautiful! 🙂
