Mudroom Ideas and a HomeRight Finish Max Giveaway!

 This is part one of a two part furniture make over.

We don’t have a mudroom in our house, but there is a perfect spot in the garage just begging for attention. Somewhere to hang coats, pull your shoes off, store the stuff you don’t want to bring in the house.

We are creating a Garage Mudroom 🙂 our solution!

We measured the area in the garage and got started with our 2″ x 4″ rectangular box. The idea was to create a base and cover the outside with bead board. Using glue and the Kreg R3 Jr. Pocket Hole Jig System, things went together like clockwork. Well almost clockwork, but I won’t discuss that 😉

We used a combination of 1″x4″ and 1″x3″ boards for trim and a sheet of bead board.

We put it in place and tested the storage containers. They fit greats!

You’ll have to come back to see it with the top cubbies! We’re almost finished!

And then we loaded it up on a recent junking purchase (metal cart – soon to be coffee table). I rolled it out to the driveway to get it ready for paint.
