Welcome back to this months recipes from The Cooking Housewives. I’m excited to share my Pecan Snowball Cookies with you, and they have a lemony twist! Be sure to check out all the other recipes too! I know there are several that I will be cooking!!

Making cookies - recipe for Pecan Snowball Cookies

Yield: 2.5 Dozen

Pecan Snowball Cookies Recipe

Snowball Pecan Cookies with Lemon
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes 12 seconds
Total Time 25 minutes 12 seconds


  • 2 sticks unsalted Butter
  • 1.5 C powered sugar
  • 2 t lemon extract
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 2 C flour - all purpose
  • 1 C chopped pecans


  1. Pre-heat oven to 350•
  2. Line baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. Mix soften butter and 1C powdered sugar, reserve 1/2 C for rolling cookies in later.
  4. Add flavoring.
  5. Using mixer, mix in flour slowly.
  6. Add pecans, mix well.


Roll dough in to 1" balls and place on baking sheet.

Bake for 12-15 minutes depending on your oven.

Remove from oven and let the cookies rest for 5 minutes or so. Add the 1/2 C of powdered sugar to a bowl and roll cookies in it. Place them back on the rack to cool.

After the cookies have cooled, roll them in the powered sugar again.
