VINTAGE TRAIN CASE
Do you have a list of thrift store items that you’re always on the lookout for? I do and a vintage train case or makeup case has been on that list for a long time! Today our Thrift Store Team is sharing ideas for DIY makeovers on several affordable items that we found while out shopping at our favorite affordable places. Guess what my makeover is??
Before of the train/makeup case:
I love the old mirror, all I did was clean it! I decided to spray paint the outside with white paint and add my favorite color of blue on the inside. I don’t think I’ll ever stop loving every shade of blue 🙂
After adding the stripes, I grabbed my sand paper and distressed all the areas that I thought would look like it had worn naturally. I love the shabby white look.
Quick and easy makeover. Refresh and repurpose a thrift store find like this vintage train case or makeup case. I have added affiliate links for products or similar products used.Vintage Train Case Makeover

What would you put in your case? I think a plant would look great sitting in here.
I love the fresh new look and that pop of the blue lagoon inside.
Just think of all the things that you could organize and store in this old makeup case. I’ve thought about putting it in my kitchen to catch all the mail and flyers that come in every day.

March 13, 2019 at 5:52 pmThe suitcase turned out so cute! Love the stripes on the sides and the inside is adorable! That shelf liner is perfect! I painted my grandparents suitcase years ago, the inside was still in such perfect condition I kept it as is and I store all our misc, wires and electronics in it 🙂

March 13, 2019 at 5:52 amWhat a terrific makeover! And useful too. I think I would use it in the living room to hold magazines and books. Maybe even the 4,900 remote controls floating around here!
