DIY Wedding Ideas
My niece Stephanie married the love of her life Griffin on July 22, 2012
The wedding and reception were held at Magnolia Springs Manor in Helena, Alabama.
Magnolia Springs Manor
The manor is the perfect setting for a southern wedding. Β It made me want to get married again…
Stephanie created the menu using an old window, craft paint and a sharpie.
The centerpieces were a variation of flowers, tin cans, coffee bags, painted wine bottles and votives.
(all made by Stephanie)
Amazing how beautiful simple elements can be!
The twinkle lights wrapped with tulle fabric looked perfect.
Granny Brenda made the cake and Stephanie made the topper π
An old suitcase with a burlap banner and another window for the drink menu.
(also made by Stephanie and don’t you love her handwriting!)

Wow, what a beautiful wedding! I truly enjoyed every single photo! I really liked the cake topper and her centerpieces! The cake photo gave me a great idea for my wedding in September. I’m going to find a stand for the cake (similar to hers) and paint it blue or green. Thanks for the post!
What lovely wedding ideas! I’ll be linking to them on our Wedding Ideas pinboard. Check it out at pinterest.com/homedepot.

What a beautiful wedding! The table settings were country-vintage-perfect!
Wow! Every detail is perfect, and how gorgeous are they? That little boy holding the sign was too perfect!
Those floral centerpieces are so gorgeous! The whole wedding looked so beautiful! Congrats Stephanie on tying the knot!
I am the DIY bride and I just want to say that my wonderful Aunt Debbie was my inspiration for all of this creativity:) Also thanks a bunch for all of the kind words!!
She did an amazing job! I love how creative weddings have come nowadays.
Congratulations to the happy couple! Isn’t your Mom sweet?
She did good, I can tell she has some of your blood running through her veins! My fav’s… the window food & beverage windows and the sign her son carried. Hope you had a lime Rita or some Moscato, my favorite wine.

I am such a fan of simple, organic details at events like this. Beautiful-as was the bride!
Wow! Your niece did a fantastic job with all the decorations. And yes, I just love her handwriting on the old windows. Now, when is she going to start her own blog?
Oh wow! What a beautiful wedding and a joyous occasion!! The table settings were almost as cute as the bride π They both sure were cute! Looks like a relaxed affair, much better then a stuffy, traditional wedding. At least I think so. But then… I live in jeans. lol
Love everything about this wedding Debbie. I am getting super excited to be a part of my sisters wedding very soon. Thanks for sharing, and congrats to your niece!
I love the simplicity of the centerpieces… Especially the cans and burlap (LOVE). Also the windows looked stunning!!! So creative…. I definitely like this kind of wedding better than any uppity one π
What a beautiful wedding! Love the sunflowers, and especially adore the bridesmaids’ interesting dresses.
