Beach Inspired Table MakeoverPainted Table with fun stripes

I had to use my imagination when I saw this dining set.

Before the makeover!

It was cute, but the finish had yellowed and the cushion were well used.

I can tell that a couple little girls had a great time at this table.

I striped the table top, sanded it and taped it off. ย I used several blues and greens.

ย  I distressed the white areas of the table and chairs.

This photo is where I taped off to add white.

The green is a Valspar paint, the blues are a combo of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and Ce Ce Caldwell’s paint.

They all play great together ๐Ÿ™‚

I recovered the cushions in a coordinating blue and added a stripe on the chair-back.

Distressing a kids table is perfect, nobody will get upset if more scratches appear.

I did 3 thin coats of my favorite matte varnish.

I can envision lots of coloring and laughter at this little table.

I love how it turned out.

I had a vision, it was stripped, it was fresh and it is fun ๐Ÿ™‚

    4. Love the transformation! The colors go really well together. Haven’t tried the Annie Sloan paint yet, but have heard it’s great to work with.

    5. Debbie,
Fantastic job giving this little table and chair set a new life! I know the children will love being seated here, whether eating lunch or creating something special for you to hang on your refrigerator door! You’ve inspired me to be on the look out for my own set to rehab for the little people in my life.
