Cozy Fall Entry
You guys, we’ve been in our house for 10 months! It’s hard to believe! I have worked on this side of the porch many times, I am so excited to share what I came up with for fall! The seasonal decor will come and go but this bench is totally taking up residence here!

We’re in south Alabama and it’s still very warm. Most of the time the leaves just turn brown and fall off trees. In order to have fall colors I had to add them with accessories and mums.
The fall pomegranate wreath inspired the color scheme and the golden yellow mums add a little sunshine to entry. I love being able to find everything from candles to plants at Walmart.
I fell in love with these farmhouse Camrose planters, they are a perfect size to flank the steps coming on to the porch, I filled them with fun fall colors. I love the wispy grasses and I made sure everything can take full sun.
When adding plants be sure to keep these three things in mind along with the amount of water and sunlight needed:
- Filler – plants that fill the pot
- Spiller – plants that spill over the sides
- Thriller – plants that stand tall and beg for attention
I love adding perennials to my planters. They last for several seasons and when they get too large, I transplant them to the garden.
The planters look like weathered wood, they coordinate perfectly with our painted floor on the porch. The Better Homes & Gardens Camrose farmhouse collection is perfect for our home.
We always have a plethora of balls and other yard toys laying around this area. It looked so messy but that large basket is hiding them very well! It’s perfect and runs the length of the bench.
This cozy throw, is solid teal on one side and a beautiful plaid on the other.
I added a copper colored candle to my galvanized candle holder. I love mixing metals.
Murphy waited until I had everything in place and she took her position on the porch to welcome guest too! She’s the best dog in the world!
