Today I’m sharing three of my favorite plants!
Easy to grown and beautiful to decorate with!
Knock Out Rose
Knock Out Rose
Hardiness: Zones 4 – 9
Exposure: Full sun
Size: Height 4 feet tall, 3 feet wide
Bloom Time: Spring to frost.
Care: Use drip or soaker hose irrigation.
The knock out rose has been one of the easiest and most beautiful plants that I’ve grown. Once its starts blooming in the spring, I can have fresh cut roses everyday.
Endless Summer Hydrangea
Hardiness: Zones 4 – 9
Exposure: Filtered sun
Size: Height 3-5 feet tall, 3-5 feet wide
Bloom Time: Spring to frost.
Care: Water weekly or more in extreme heat
These hydrangeas have a long bloom season and they are super easy to dry. Once dried you can use them forever in your decor. Find my easy to dry instructions here: Drying Hydrangeas
Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree
The first time I saw the Fiddle Leaf Fig tree I knew I had to have one.
It took me a while and I finally found three at a local grocery store. I gave one to my mom.
At one point I thought my plants were dying.
I sat them outside for while, this was during the summer and that either shocked them or revived them.
What I found was that I was watering them too much and the leaves started to have brown spots on them.
These days I water them only when the soil has dried out.
I’ve had them for 3 years and I love them more and more every day 🙂
These are 3 plants that I highly recommend!
Thanks for stopping by,
Debbie
Thanks for sharing your picks with us. I also grow hydrangea’s and knock out roses. I’m too old and can’t get around like I use to so these 2 low maintenance plants are great for me to tend to and produce flowers all summer and fall. Only problem I have is that nasty fungus on my hydrangea leaves. Other than that they grow beautifully.
Does anyone know of a website I can order one from?
Ok I am getting a fig tree plant. I am seeing them everywhere and I love how they look. The planters are super cute that you have yours in.
had to cut my “FIG BUSH” down because they were at the front deck & got really big & smell was awful..the squirrels got them & made a mess on railings…!
I love dydrangea and your’s are pretty and really big, have tried them in my yard but everytime I try they die, late in the season last year I got a cutting from a friend and rooted and I’m going to plant in a large pot and see what happens, if it survies maybe I’ll transfer to yard.
Hey Carolyn, I highly recommend the Endless Summer Hydrangea, they are not as picky as the old fashion hydrangeas 🙂
