I am ready for something green…
I am ready for something shiny…
I am ready for something fun…
I am ready for something inspiring…
I was ready to take the Christmas decorations down…
I don’t really know why…
I love the holidays…
this year just seemed different…
I can’t put it in to words…
but I’m glad it’s a New Year.

January 6, 2012 at 10:00 amWhat a wonderful quote! I have not seen that before and I think I may have to steal it for something… I also love the layers on your mantel! I have only had a mantel for almost a year and need to find things to decorate it with. I see some nice inspiration here!

January 5, 2012 at 12:47 amI am always a bit sad when it is time to take down Christmas decorations. My house does not feel as festive. Your mantle looks great! Maybe I should try to mix things up.
