Haven 2012 kicked off with Young House Love!
See what I mean, he just kept on~reFresh can you come on up here~no, not right now,
I’m sitting in front of Miss Mustard Seed and someone might take my seat. ย
I love John and Sherry, they are a dynamic duo!
I can’t wait for their book!
Speaking of books,
Miss Mustard Seed wrote oneย too!
Put me on the list, I want one!
Not only did she write a book this year, she also has a line of milk paint coming out soon!
In the Advanced Painting class we got to try milk paint, I want some!
Beckie from Infarrantly Creative
Beckie’s class All About Advertising was awesome. ย I would tell you about it, but I was sworn to secrecy, it was way over my head. ย I am going to have to repeat this class ๐
Beth is a pro, I mean who knew that I needed chocolate with her business card attached!
and then there was
Angie, she had a scratch off lottery ticketย
with her picture underneath, how creative!ย
click here to see what I took ๐
Everyone’s business card was so unique.
Ana White was just this pretty too!
Speaking of pretty, sweet and just the best room mates in the world:
Karah from The Space Betweenย in the middle,ย ย and Kristen from Pearl Gateway on the right. ย And sleepy, half smiling me on the left.
I didn’t give any candy or gum away with my business cards, but I did get my friend Creative Carmella to hammer out these cute necklaces for me and my roomies. ย A little reminder of this awesome conference.ย
Kevin, Layla ย from The Lettered Cottageย and
Josh from Shoot Fly Shoot
ย (Kevin and Josh’s photo training classes)
I didn’t get pictures of everyone that I wanted to and I had way too many blurry ones, thankfully there will be several Haven posts! ย I did much better this time than I did at Becoming ๐
My post is missing so many of the talented people that were there! ย Check them out:
Haven Speakers
ย I can’t wait to see everyone else’s Haven posts.
Click on this photo to meet the ladies of Haven:
Thanks to everyone that put this together! ย I didn’t want to leave ๐
If you have any advice for me, about going to conferences, please share! ย
I was a bit out of my league!
Sharing at Southern Hospitality!

Debbie! Awesome recap! It was such a pleasure meeting you and getting to know you at Haven! I don’t think I’ll ever forget how you told me that I need to get more excited when meeting “big bloggers”. Hi Debbie,
You don’t need any advice. I think you wrote the book on how to work a room with your great personality. Jane and I want to visit your new store, when you get open in Savannah. Love your blog. I’ll be one of your regular visitors

Great recap! You did SO much better than I did at taking pics. I love the shot of John from YHL inviting you to come on stage. haha!
Hey, Debbie, loved meeting another GA girl & I loved your Southern accent. So glad you had a good time, it was a whirlwind for sure. I was moving so fast & wish I had time to sit down and chat more with all of you. You’re so fun and maybe we can meet up here again one of these days.
you are funny! I wish I had met you. I am beginning to feel like, after I read all these recaps, that I missed the party…and believe it or not….I was actually there. I think I need to repeat the “how to talk to people you don’t know” class. I stink at it and now I just feel sad. Oh well, always next year. right? I love your blog!
Debbie, I’m bummed that I missed meeting you in person at Haven. I guess that means we both need to go next year for sure! Glad you had such a good time. The conference really was quite awesome.
I see my business card! So great to meet you this week. So much more fun following your blog now. Can’t wait until next year!
Debbie-it was so wonderful to meet you! You are such a sweet hilarious lady-just as wonderful in person as you are on your blog! And that one about YHL cracks me up. Hope you have a wonderful week! Let’s meet up sometime if you want to do rescued relics! MUAH! Hugs to you! ;}
It appears from the pictures that you had tons of fun! Looking forward to hearing more stories and helpful hints from Haven.
It was great to meet you at Haven! I just couldn’t keep up…lol! How can you say you were out of your league? You fit in perfectly and I thank you for being so friendly! CYA next year!

Haven was a terrific experience. I met so many lovely, talented ladies like yourself! I left so inspired and will be working on lot’s of projects with that wonderful swag we received!
How amazing! I bet they are going to have to find a bigger venue so everyone that couldn’t go {like moi} can get there! It looks like you had a blast!
Oh Deb, you looked like you had such a wonderful and eventful time!~ I bet it was a great experience for you. I would have been way out of my league there too, however, we can all take and learn something from this whole blogging gig!~ I know at the end of the day, I just want to have fun and share…so that is what I keep on keeping out here. I say one day at a time. We never know what tomorrow brings.
Thanks for this post – I’m living vicariously through you – I wish that I could have gone – it sounds like an amazing opportunity.
I *LOVE* all those gorgeous business cards!
