License Plate Tote by Homeroad
I’ve got a treat for you today! My friend Susan from Homeroad is here with a very refreshing project!
Hi everyone, I’m Susan and I create over at
I love finding cast-offs and salvaged pieces
and turning them into something fabulous.
Lately I’ve been on a wooden tool box building kick.
I bought a new saw that cuts metal and it opened up
a ton of new possibilities for my projects.
I created this license plate garden tool box
using 2 pieces of wood for the sides and one for the bottom.
I cut a license plate in half using the metal blade on
my new scroll saw and nailed them to the sides of the tool box.
I drilled 2 holes in the top of the sides and
attached a handle that I salvaged from an old sewing box.
The handle is held on with 2 bolts and nuts so it will fold down.
I painted the tool box a pretty garden green leaving
the backs of the license plates unpainted for an industrial look.
A cute little garden tote tool box
ready to fill with garden tools for the summer.
Thanks so much for having me Debbie
and I hope you’ll all stop by
and be sure to

Great to see you Gail 🙂 Are you going to be at Haven?
Susan is a queen at designing cool things. Everyone should stop in and see what she creates next.
I totally agree Bliss! Susan can make something out of nothing 🙂
