WOODEN STEP STOOL MAKEOVER
It’s thrift store makeover time, we have lots of ideas to share! I’m sharing a wooden step stool makeover, a quick and easy idea that you can use on a finished or unfinished step stool. I used my favorite DIY tool: spray paint. You can makeover one of these in less than an hour.
Be sure to check out all the ideas from our Thrift Store Decor Team at the end of the post.
A wood step stool comes in handy in any room of the house. I have several. This small one doesn’t take up much space, sometimes I sit plants on them when not in use.
Print off these directions, I included affiliate links to products used for your convenience.
Refresh a thrift store find or paint a new wooden step stool. Match your home decor with this easy DIY makeover idea. I love the coverage of the 2X Rustoleum paint but you can use any paint for this project. Brush on or spray.Wooden Step Stool Makeover

From this to this:
- Lightly sand and wipe clean before painting.
- Place stool with the bottom up, this is what I do.
- Light even coats of spray paint.
I used one of my favorite Chalk Couture transfers for the design on top. Y’all know I love anything with a farmhouse style.
