Wooden Step Stool Makeover Step-by-Step

Step 1: Go get yourself a wooden step stool!

I found this beauty at a thrift store and decided I loved it so much I just had to do a project with it!

Step 2: Grab your sanding block and get busy

Before we paint this thing, we have to sand it down to make sure our spray paint has a nice surface to adhere to.

Lightly sand and then wipe it clean!

Step 3: Spray paint the step stool

Now we need to get some color on it. Place the stool bottom up and start applying light, even coats of spray paint until it looks covered all over.

Once you’ve spray painted it bottom-side up, let it dry, then flip it right-side up and finish the top.

Step 4: Give your step stool some decoration

I used one of my favorite Chalk Couture transfers for the design on top. Y’all know I love anything with a farmhouse style.

    1. Ohhh Debbie! I can NEVER pass up a stool. Those of us who are height challenged can really appreciate how necessary these are.

I love the way you changed up this little stool, especially with the paint and Chalk Couture transfer. Too darn cute!
