Spring Decor Ideas – Farmhouse Porch
Happy spring or should I say here comes the pollen! Guys today I’m joining my blogging friends to share spring decor ideas. The tour today is hosted by my sweet friends Krista from The Happy Housie and April from House by Hoff ! If your visiting from Maison de Pax – welcome!! It lasts all week long and there will be tons of inspiration from all over the country. I hope you spend a little time checking out all the blogs!
We have been working on our back porch for weeks, it’s one of the items on our list here at the Alabama Farmhouse. We are 98% finished and let me tell ya, nobody’s happier about that than me.
Create this Simple Spring Porch:
- Rustic Items – from things that I made to things that I have collected.
- Faux colorful spring flowers.
- Shop your house – the only purchase I made was for the faux florals.
My color inspiration is from nature and these melamine plates that I’ve had a few years. I decided to use faux tulips, they last longer ;).
For the centerpiece I filled my barn wood planter box with my old aqua bottles and these tulips from Michael’s.
To keep the color story flowing, I placed a bunch of the same tulips in this candle holder. It’s perfect on the coffee table. Murphy loves the bright colorful touches of spring on the porch.
I would love to tell you all about the farmhouse porch construction but I still have a few things to finish, I hope you’ll be able to come back to the blog for all the details soon!
Macho ferns are my favorite, actually every fern is my favorite! All that green makes any space feel fresh.
The Hula Hoop wreath is showing off back there, it was such an easy project and it adds a little color on the shiplap wall.

We are still in winter here in NH.
Can’t wait for Spring.
If you don’t want droopy tulips, put a penny in the bottom of
the vase. But some people like droopy tulips. lol
