Hey everyone! We’ve got a beautiful line-up of Summer Home Tours today, thanks to Gina from The Shabby Creek Cottage for coordinating everything! I know you know my friends and love their style as much as I do. There are links at the bottom of the post so you can visit and enjoy the home tours just like do!
We’ve all but moved outside since we finished the porch and outdoor kitchen. It has a living room, dining area and kitchen, welcome to our summer porch tour!
I decorated in all my favorite colors, using repurposed thrift store treasures, Target Dollar spot finds and lots of affordable lovelies from Walmart.
Dining and Kitchen Area:
The dining table received a makeover this spring, I painted stripes of white and gray, it feels new again. Paint is so powerful and it’s such an easy way to refresh anything.
For seating, I mixed it up with outdoor wicker, metal chairs and a farmhouse style bench that I built last year. (Be sure to grab the plans and make one yourself.)
Under the television, we made sure to leave a lot of counter space. I either fill it up with food or decor 😉 Dress it up or down, I raided the kitchen cabinets for serving pieces and my walls for an inexpensive canvas to create this farmhouse setting. I used a chalkboard here for a dessert bar. One nail in a wood wall has so many possibilities.
The kitchen area if equipped with a grill, big green egg, refrigerator, a sink with hot and cold water and one burner for frying fish or heating baked beans. We moved in to this house in December 2016, I think we’ve spent more time outside than in. Our house isn’t fancy and we do a lot of work ourselves, we been very lucky to find a wonder contractor to help with the big stuff, like this amazing ceiling!
Living and Lounging area:
The pallet potting table is where we serve beverages when we have a large crowd. It’s the perfect spot to display my vertical succulent garden. I love a plant/plants that you don’t have to water often 😉
Bistro Corner of the Porch:
This little spot if perfect for the two of us, great for mornings or nights for coffee or wine.
