Welcome to our Country Living Christmas Home Tour
Hello! Are your ready for Christmas? Today I’m joining the Cherished Christmas Home Tours hosted by my sweet friend Ashley from Cherished Bliss and Country Living. This tour is going on all week! I’ve had so much fun wandering around all my blogger friends homes!
If you’re stopping by from Danielle’s, Finding Silver Pennies, welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. If not, be sure to pop over there!
Normally I stick with one color scheme but this year I got a little cray-cray. Our main living areas are decorated in shades of blue with sparkles of silver, gold and pewter. Blue was a natural color choice since most of the decor and some of the walls are painted blue in these spaces.
The oil rubbed bronze deer on the left and right are yard sale finds and even though they are not the same, they created the symmetry that I wanted. You don’t have to be matchy – matchy unless it would drive you crazy! The back of the bookcases and dining room are painted SW Quietude and the walls of living room are SW Comfort Gray. One of my favorite colors, it looks different throughout the day. To bring more of the aqua on the the mantel, I painted birch trees on wood, DIY instructions coming soon!
Here’s a view from the stairs. My free sofa and wing back chairs fit perfectly in this space. We moved last fall and I was concerned that my furniture wouldn’t fit, but for the most part every piece has worked out. You get a better view of all the blue.
A close-up of the birch trees. You could easily paint them on canvas.
Murphy is so funny, she is the official Refresh Restyle model. She follows me around when I’m taking photos, I don’t have to pose her or pay her, except with kisses and treats!

Dining Room with Minimal Natural Christmas Decor
Paperwhites in silver cups make the perfect gift for dinner guests.
Ok, here’s where I switched color gears – in the bedrooms!
Master Bedroom and Guest Room
Master Bedroom

I added red accents to our gray bedroom. The red flannel sheets are a first for us! We have really been missing out, who knew flannel sheets were so awesome? The Very Merry banner is from our mantel last year. It only takes a few items to bring the Christmas spirit in to any space!
The addition of simple wreaths hung from velvet ribbons put the final touch on the bedroom decor. (My model is laying down on the job!)
Now if it would only get cold in Georgia so I could snuggle down in this cozy flannel!
Guest Bedroom
For the guest room I added more red and all things cozy and soft. I channeled my inner Santa with the red velvet pillow and the warm and fuzzy comforter 😉
Instead of chocolates on the pillow for guest, I placed these cookie poppers on the nightstands.
Red velvet stockings hung by the bed, waiting for tiny gifts.
That’s all folks…

December 9, 2015 at 6:57 pmYour home is absolutely gorgeous. I have to say I feel I’ve found a kindred decor spirit in you because I have the same winter pillow, I have two birch tree trunk pictures hanging over our sofa (mine are store bought and not nearly as creative or pretty as yours) and our first dog’s name was Murphy! I shall return to your lovely blog many times in the future.

December 2, 2015 at 9:49 amGood Morning! Beauiful tour! We just got three inches of snow, and I thought it would lovely surrounding your house instead of mine. Luckily I spent yesterday picking up the last of the Fall decorations and pumpkins, etc. and locking up the green house, tarping the churchpew, etc. So much for decorating outside…you have inspired me to start inside! Thanks for the great tour, Sandi
Debbie says
December 2, 2015 at 10:16 amOh yes Sandi, I need so snow around my house! The decor outside is lacking and snow would be great! Thank you so much!
