DAYS UNTIL SANTA CRICUT DIY

This is a question I hear a lot in the days before Christmas: how many days until Santa comes?

Your children are going to love helping count down the days till Santa’s coming with this Vinyl chalkboard project. Heck, I’m pretty sure I’ll like getting up and changing the number of days myself. This is a great way to get everyone excited about Christmas…even the little ones. This project was super easy and cheap. I happened to already have this chalkboard, but it would be so easy to make with just a piece of scrap wood and some chalkboard paint as well.

Christmas Countdown Days Until Santa Comes - I included affiliate links to products used.

Instructions

Decide on your design.
Cut your design on your vinyl cutting machine; I used my Cricut Explore Air 2.
Trim around design and weed out all the excess vinyl using the weeding tools.
Place your transfer tape over the design and use you scraper to rub over the design to make sure it sticks completely to the transfer tape.
Once you have everything on your transfer tape you are ready to start placing the design on your chalkboard.
Use your scraper to go back over the design to make sure the vinyl adheres completely to the chalkboard.
Remove the transfer tape to leave only your design on the board

Notes

Grab your chalk and add the days until Santa comes.

I used some twine to tie some small jingle bells together and just wrapped around them one of the pegs on the top of the chalkboard…just for a little extra festivity. I hope you and your family enjoy this project and your kids will know how many days until Santa comes 🙂
