Welcome to more Christmas inspiration! This beautiful 2015 Christmas Home Tour is hosted by Marty from A Stroll Thru Life. Marty has an amazing line up of tours for us! I am so grateful to be joining in all the Christmas fun this week! It truly is my favorite time of year. I have really enjoyed decorating the whole house this year! I’m so glad I started before Thanksgiving ;). I may need to hire my children to help me put it all away! Step in to my Christmas Home Tour using mostly red and turquoise Christmas decor!
If you’re stopping by from Driven By Decor, welcome! If not be sure to see Kris’s Christmas home!
Today I am sharing three Christmas-y rooms that you have not seen.
Now on to the rest of the house! Please keep in mind I am a cheap thrifty decorator 😉 Some of this decor has been around for decades or it came from yard sales and thrift stores.
They say the kitchen is the heart of the home and since my kitchen is having a little face lift, I’m sharing the rooms closest to my kitchen. This three room space is where you can find us most any time.
View of the tree from the table…
In the kitchen dining area and the keeping room, I mixed Christmas reds and blues. For the centerpiece I used a silver container from HomeGoods, grocery store flowers from Trader Joes and evergreen from the yard.
I hung simple wreaths from Walmart ($2.99 each) in several rooms. Originally, I was only going to put them on the windows here. After I hung them, I fell in love and put them in our Master Bedroom too. It was a simple DIY – all I did was cut 3 pieces of ribbon the same length and I used a tack in the window molding to hang them.
Every time I share this kitchen table I am asked where the chairs are from. I bought them 15 years ago from a Riverside furniture outlet. I’m not sure if they still exist. We have been very happy with them! The table is a thrift store find, stained with black stain, you can read all about it here.
Keeping Room aka Family Room – next to the kitchen/kitchen dining area is one our favorite spots to relax.
Comfy seating and cozy fireplace. No wonder you can find us lounging here!
I added antlers, fun deer and a variety of greenery on the mantel. The mirror is here all the time, I popped this silver and gold wreath in the center.
This buffet is between the two spaces. See how I DIY’d this wood rocking horse.
Ottoman is from Cost Plus World Market – I love it!
I tied last years plaid scarves to the pillows.
I love these cups so much, I leave them sitting around empty. Sometimes I put coffee or hot chocolate in them 😉
First floor Guest Room – I just finished the guest room a few months ago, I like to keep it simple in the bedrooms. Less is more for a restful space. These Target banners can be found all over the house. I have a serious problem with that Dollar Spot! The cozy, big yarn fluffy throw is from the Pottery Barn outlet, it is so soft! I found that awesome chalkboard looking pillow at HomeGoods.
That’s all for today!

Debbie!!! I love everything. Wow, your curtains, wreaths with ribbon, blue and white pieces, pillows, EVERYTHING! You’re amazing!
Debbie, I am drooling over your lovely home. It’s the little details that speak to me…like the bulbs in the cup on the table getting ready to sprout. Your home is magnificent! Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring us to love our homes by creating our own style through budget finds and thrifting.
Everything is just beautiful Debbie! I LOVE that ottoman!! 🙂

wow Debbie! Your home is beautiful always, but with the Christmas decor it looks so cozy and welcoming!
I haven’t done much decorating… so far, just the mantel. I’ve been spending every free minute on the fence!

Debbie your home is stunning all dressed in it’s Christmas finery. Love how you use the few touches of red to all your pretty blue spaces. Your family room does indeed look so warm, cozy and inviting, that would be my favorite place to be. Beautiful guest room and that black chalkboard pillow is such a perfect accent piece. Gorgeous tour.
Thanks so much for including me in the tour this year Marty! Loving all the inspiration!
