Earth Day should be everyday, but this year it’s celebrated on April 22, 2014! Let me inspire you with some refreshing ideas!
I don’t think Earth Day ever entered my mind when I did any makeovers from recycled items.
It’s always been about saving money and reusing what I already had.
Here are some ideas for up-cycling and refreshing!
Use burlap and coffee cans for table decor.
Create a beautiful coat rack from old barn wood.
Repurpose 2 old pieces of furniture and create an awesome hall tree!
How about those old TV armoires? Create an extra storage, with a closet rod, baskets and paint:
Outdated and ordinary becomes bright and beautiful!
I up-cycle old boxes for storage.
I use old suitcases for a side table, they make great storage and create a unique look in a collected room.
Refresh pieces bought at yard sales and Goodwill, like this sofa table. It only takes a little elbow grease, paint and stain.
Or create a one of a kind side table with a fallen tree!
Thanks to Karah from The Space Between, I am inspired to recycle even more! I pre-ordered her new book and I can’t wait to get it. Until then I will be collecting wood/pallets. DIY Wood Pallet Projects: 35 Rustic Modern Upcycling Ideas to Personalize Your Space
